Why it matters: A quick check now can help you save money and avoid losing unused funds before the end of the year.
Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA)
If you have an FSA, it’s a special account that lets you use pre-tax dollars to pay for certain expenses like medical care or dependent care (childcare, daycare, etc.).
These accounts reset each year — so it’s important to check your balance before the deadline.
💡 Health Care FSA:
You can carry over up to $660 of unused money into 2026.
2025 Rollover funds will be available April 1, 2026
If you have more than that left in your account, be sure to use it before the deadline so you don’t lose it.
You can use these funds for doctor visits, prescriptions, dental care, glasses, and other eligible medical expenses.
🍼 Dependent Care FSA:
This account covers daycare or elder care expenses — and it’s “use it or lose it.”
Any money left at the end of the plan year doesn’t roll over, so make sure to use it before the deadline.
